As long as an athlete is seduced by the siren songs of distractions,
he cannot be legend.
If he is seduced by the allure of nightclubs, empty socializations, alcohol and mind-altering substances, he cannot ascend to legendary status.
His name will not be engraved in the history books.
He will be eventually forgotten.
An athlete's path to legend status is fraught with temptations and distractions.
The fast pace novelty and indulgences diverges sharply away from the slow, solitary journey toward greatness.
He may believe he can dance on the edge of distractions, fiddle and play with it without consequences. He does not realize this makes him an part-time athlete, whose potential remains untap - rendering them to mere shadows of what they could be.
If he is told, he must sacrifice for success, he may suppress these desires. But they will inevitably resurface within his subconscious, igniting cravings that will ensnare them for its sugar high.
What he is told to sacrifice, he will crave even more.
If the athlete experiences painful failures caused by distractions, if he realizes his career is fleetingly short, their body is their temple and he does not wish to squander their limited sports career with regrets.
A desperation to be serious takes root. He no longer desires to be distracted. A Profound shift occurs within him. His perspectives changes and in doing so, the lust for distractions dissolves on it own, rather than to be sacrifice.
Distractions is now seen as the enemy.
No longer enticed by the trivial games of the world. They emerge anew- rebuilt, refined and resolute.
He becames a new man.
He becames a new athlete.
He takes extreme care in inviting a selected few into his circle.
A new existence awaits for him
and thus...
Greatness begins to surrender its powers, allowing him to blossom fully into the legend he was destined to become.
